Swim Safety

Drowning Prevention

LESSON OVERVIEW

get permission before you get into the water

Always get permission from the adult in charge before going near or in any kind of water like a lake or a pool. Look at the signs nearby and know how deep the water is before going in to swim. It is important when you swim that you stay in sight of the adult in charge. Remember your limits and don’t push your body. Don’t give into pressure from your peers to do something you aren’t ready to do. Wear the proper gear like a life jacket and sunscreen.
