The Lil’ Iguana’s Children’s Safety Foundation is a New Hampshire based 501(c)3 nonprofit foundation that provides in-person and virtual programming, teaching guides and worksheets, educational music and interactive products to teach over 20 safety and well-being lessons to save kids from abuse, neglect, and serious accidental injuries while instilling self-worth, respect, and manners. Lil’ Iguana’s music based educational programs are presented in elementary schools, child care facilities, and community events throughout the US and feature lessons like Buckle-Up, Street Smarts, Get Permission, Who’s a Stranger, and Run, Run, Run, Yell & Tell! Lil’ Iguana’s programming has been credited with saving countless children, with the youngest child being just age three. Lil’ Iguana’s programs focus on proactive teaching for children ages 2-10.

Graphic Design Internship

Lil’ Iguana’s Children’s Safety Foundation is looking for a passionate artist to assist as our online resource platform expands. The internship schedule is between 15 to 20 hours a week and can be flexible based upon Lil’ Iguana events. This internship is seeking those looking for college credits. We are excited to teach you our mission and more about graphic art.

The Graphic Designer in our Nashua, NH office will be responsible for helping modernize our 25 year old non-profit organization and preparing us for the release of our new product line as well as new music. We are putting a large focus on developing our audience on social media and would like you to assist in these efforts as well. A successful candidate will be able to work independently on all projects after instruction.

This is a great opportunity to develop your communication skills with a small team dedicated to the safety and well-being of children. We will offer hands-on learning in order to develop important skills applicable to future communications.

Requirements

  • Must be receiving course credit, this is an unpaid internship
  • Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator & Adobe InDesign

Responsibilities

  • Work with Executive Director and team to design new storybooks
  • Brainstorm ideas for social media platforms

Blog Writing Content Creator

Lil’ Iguana’s Children’s Safety Foundation is seeking an intern to help with blog posts and additional educational articles about our non-profit organization. This is an unpaid internship for students looking to receive academic credit to gain further knowledge in the marketing or writing field. The schedule ranges between 15 to 20 hours a week and will be flexible based upon Lil’ Iguana events throughout the week.

Requirements

  • Must be receiving course credit, this is an unpaid internship
  • Research industry-related topics
  • Must be able to write a press release suitable for use in news publications
  • Prepare well-structured works and written drafts for video games and other projects
  • Edit and proofread written pieces before publication
  • Conduct keyword research and use SEO guidelines to optimize content
  • Promote content on social networks and monitor engagement (e.g. comments and shares)
  • Identify customers’ needs and recommend new topics
  • Coordinate with marketing teams and design to illustrate articles
  • Measure web traffic to content (e.g. conversion and bounce rates), a plus

Marketing & Social Media Internship

Lil’ Iguana’s Children’s Safety Foundation is seeking an intern to help organize successful events and connect our non-profit organization with the community. This is an unpaid internship for students looking to receive academic credit to gain further knowledge in the marketing and public relations industry. The schedule ranges between 15 to 20 hours a week and will be flexible based upon Lil’ Iguana events throughout the week. The Marketing Intern in our Nashua, NH office will be responsible for a variety of tasks to connect our nonprofit to the public through social media and press. We are putting a large focus on developing our audience on social media and would like you to assist in these efforts. A successful candidate will be able to work independently on all projects and tasks throughout the day. This summer will have community events and hosted events including Lil’ Iguana’s Fun in the Sun Color Run.

An ideal intern will be creative in developing worthwhile online content, finding appropriate information outlets and developing new strategies for outreach. A basic understanding of Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tik Tok, SEO, and online trends is a plus. Lil’ Iguana also would need assistance in creating youth-based blog posts for our online resource platform and mindfulness lesson activity boxes. This is a great opportunity to develop your communication skills with a small team dedicated to the safety and well-being of children. We will offer hands-on learning in order to develop important skills applicable to future communications work with organizations.

Lil’ Iguana’s Children’s Safety Foundation is seeking an intern to help organize successful events and connect our non-profit organization with the community. This is an unpaid internship for students looking to receive academic credit to gain further knowledge in the community outreach and event planning industry. The schedule ranges between 15 to 20 hours a week and will be flexible based upon Lil’ Iguana events throughout the week.

The Community Outreach and Events Intern in our Nashua, NH office will be responsible for assisting in the planning of community events and discovering new opportunities in the community. We are looking for a charismatic, hard-working individual who is able to effectively work independently and on a team.

The intern will work with our Events Coordinator in booking events and identifying new opportunities for Lil’ Iguana. They will also be expected to attend these events and effectively promote the Lil’ Iguana mission to the public. Skills in public speaking and networking are essential to this position.

Requirements

Video Content Creator Internship

This intern will learn how to create content for Instagram Reels & Tik Tok for the Lil’ Iguana Brand. Lil’ Iguana’s Children’s Safety Foundation is looking to expand our team with the addition of a video editor with both technical and creative skills. This role will include contributing to the creation and editing of video content, both long- and short-form, for our social media channels. We are looking for someone with experience and knowledge around trends happening on social media.

A basic understanding of Instagram, Tik Tok, SEO, and online trends is a plus. Lil’ Iguana also would need assistance in creating youth-based videos on brand for our online resource platform. A portfolio of 2-3 edited works is required upon application submission. We would like to see your work, variety, and style.

Requirements

  • Must be receiving course credit, this is an unpaid internship
  • Contribute to the creation of video content for YouTube and other media
  • Brainstorm new video concepts
    Edit video content with timely turnaround
  • Help prepare detailed promotional presentations

Lil’ Iguana’s Children’s Safety Foundation is looking for an intern to assist at our non-profit organization. This is an unpaid internship for students looking to receive academic credit to grow further knowledge in the podcast industry. The schedule is between 15 to 20 hours a week and can be flexible based upon current events for the organization. An ideal intern will be creative in developing worthwhile online content, finding appropriate information outlets and developing new strategies for outreach working with our creative team to write a script as well as edit audio files.

Requirements

  • Must be receiving course credit, this is an unpaid internship
  • A strong interest in graphic design, playlist creation, animation, photography, and/or videography
  • Proficient Google Drive skills
  • A strong interest in podcast production
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The schedule ranges between 15 to 20 hours a week as well as the possibility of a flex remote schedule.

Requirements

  • Design themes & style guides for website
  • Design web pages & UI mockups

  • Design logos and other images to be used for branding on our website
