The Ones Still Missing

 

\"MissingKeeping children out of danger is our top priority, but there are some who are not so fortunate.

According to the most recent study on missing children, as many as 800,000 children younger than 18 are reported missing each year. That is an average of 2,185 children reported missing each day.

This number includes 200,000 children abducted by family members, and 58,000 taken away by nonfamily members. The worst part about these numbers is that some of these victims never find their way back home.

In New Hampshire, there are currently twelve cases of children who are still missing, according to The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Some have not been seen since 1984, and there are others who have gone missing as recently as 2013.

Please take a moment to go through the photos of these missing individuals who belong back home. There is always time to help the families who haven’t seen their loved ones for far too long. A minute out of your day could mean a lifetime of relief for them.

Every day these missing child tragedies appear on the news, and leave us wishing there was something we could do. The best answer is to make sure a child knows how to protect themselves and that proper safety procedures are always on their parent\’s mind.

The simplest ideas can mean a world of difference in a child’s life. Prevention is the key to making sure that every loved one is where they belong each day.
